Eaglewing Gold Flute F# minor.
001: SPRING HERALD: An elegant flute with a clear, brilliant, F# m voice. Monterey pine (p.Radiata), with grain enhanced by water-based stain. Faux walnut finish endcaps. With gold eagle wing emblem and turquoise insets. Bird in rimu and birch ply laminate. Deerskin leather thongs.
Eaglewing Gold Flute F# minor
002: OCHRE ENCHANTMENT: The second of my Eaglewing Gold series, its colour bands honor the First Nations people of North America. Also in Monterey pine, with a rimu and birch ply laminated bird, this flute sings with a crisp voice, ideal for general purposes from improvised prayer and meditation to blues and Celtic.
Eaglewing Gold Flute F# minor
003: PLACID EVENING: Sooth your soul with the third flute in my Eaglewing Gold flute series. Here again, I have chosen F# minor and crafted the flute from New Zealand-sourced Monterey pine (p.Radiata). F# is a popular key because it covers upper and lower registers and its finger holes are easily accessible to female and well as male players and older children. Again, the bird is crafted from rimu, a NZ native timber, and birch play laminated.
Eaglewing Flute G minor
00A: A very nice G minor flute of Monterey pine, grain-enhanced with water-based stain and turquoise blue and yellow wood stain beauty bands. Endcaps and nest are stained faux walnut. The bird is NZ cedar. The finger holes are burned, not drilled. Dark brown deerskin leather thongs complete this flute - ideal for a woman's or older child's hands.
Eaglewing Flute F# minor
004: F# minor. A elegant flute in NZ native Mangeou, offering a sweet clear voice. Finished with turquoise cabachons. Rimu and ply bird, with black deerskin ties.
Eaglewing Flute F minor
005: A beautiful flute created from NZ native Mangeou wood, a timber prized by instrument makers for it's acoustic qualities. Finished in high gloss to bring out the beauty of the woodgrain, with native paua shell inlays.
Eaglewing Flute E minor
006: Enjoy the traditional lines of this Eaglewing Flute in E minor. Natural Monterey pine, with turquoise blue and ochre yellow beauty bands, faux walnut endcaps and nest and a rimu bird. The eagle emblem says it all - this flute soars. All my flute sound mechanisms are designed to minimize wetting out, offering reliability and clarity of sound.
Eaglewing Flute E minor
007: Elegant, with exquisite NZ native Paua shell inlays, this E minor flute is created from Monterey pine (p.Radiata) enhanced with a water-based Western Jarrah stain, and mirror-gloss finished with multiple layers of Minwax highgloss polyurathene (as are all my flutes unless specifically requested otherwise). The mouthpiece has been left in its natural timber color to provide contrast. The flute bird is cedar and ply laminate, held in place by strong deerskin leather thongs. This flute sounds as it looks. You will not be disappointed.
Eaglewing Flute E minor
008: Another beauty in NZ native Mangeou wood. Finished with turquoise cabachons. Bird is laminated cedar and birch ply.
Eaglewing Flute E minor large hand
009: Monterey pine flute with some grain enhancing at each end. Blue beauty bands, turquoise inset on nest. The bird is my standard design, crafted in NZ native kauri between ply laminations. This is a robust looking and sounding flute, with larger finger holes to accommodate a large male hand.
NZ $320, with block color polarfleece sleeve bag. Postage extra.
Eaglewing Flute D minor
010: This mirror-glossed robust beauty is Monterey pine finished in dark faux walnut burl, with NZ native paua shell inlays and a NZ native kauri bird. Lamination stripes to help provide contrast. Light tan deerskin leather thongs.
Eaglewing Flute D minor
011: Echoing the more traditional look, this fine example of my craft comes in Monterey pine, with graduated grain-enhancing stain north and south, turquoise inlays, turquoise blue and yellow stain beauty bands and a NZ native kauri and ply laminated bird. A clear, stable voice makes this flute a welcome addition to your collection, or a first low-key instrument for the player seeking to venture beyond a higher-keyed beginner's flute.
Eaglewing Flute D minor
012: This D minor shows off the natural beauty of the Monterey pine (p.Radiata) grain pattern, but with the faux walnut burl mouthpiece, nest platform and dark cedar and ply laminated bird providing some nice contrast. The red beauty bands and turquoise nest ornament lend this large flute something of a traditional air. Finished with several coats of Minwax high gloss and good-looking, strong light tan deerskin leather thongs. A good stable voice for trouble-free playing.
